Reconditioning Services

Tool reconditioning is a sustainability service WIDIA offers to add major value and cost savings to your machining. Our experts rigorously evaluate your worn or damaged tooling and when applicable, recondition and return tooling that closely matches original performance.

Solid carbide drills, carbide modular drills, solid carbide taps, solid carbide end mills, reamers and PCD/BCN tooling.

Pack your worn/damaged tool(s) into your own sturdy shipping box or a WIDIA Blue Box. Blue Boxes simplify and secure your shipment with prepaid shipping, zip ties and guaranteed durability so you can leave the rest to us.

You have global options with our reconditioning centers and authorized reconditioning partners. Contact us to learn where to ship your tools.

Our expert team tediously assesses the tools you send in to determine what we can return to you that meets our high evaluation requirements for close to near-original performance. If we identify tooling that cannot be reconditioned, the tooling will be marked with red tape and returned with your completed order, including a form that explains why the tool could not be reconditioned.

Once all necessary information including required forms and purchase orders is provided, our team immediately begins the reconditioning process. Turnaround time will depend on the size of your reconditioning order, but generally reconditioned tools are turned around in 2-3 weeks.
