Tungsten carbide is a compound made of tungsten and carbon with a cobalt/nickel binder. Because of its reputation for extreme hardness and durability, tungsten carbide is used in a wide variety of applications such as metal cutting, earth cutting and wear solutions.

The value of tungsten carbide fluctuates based on a multitude of factors. Our team continuously monitors the market to ensure we offer competitive pricing.

All customers can ship scrap recycling to us in their own sturdy containers, but we also provide shipping containers. Customers in the United States and Canada can request shipping containers when filling out the order form.

 

Customers in Europe can request shipping containers (25 kg. capacity each) using Order Number 7434059 directly through WIDIA Customer Service or a local sales representative. For shipping container needs over 300 kg. or additional assistance, contact k-corp-emea.toncarbide@kennametal.com.

We supply varying sizes of shipping containers to our customers at no additional cost.

For customers in the United States and Canada, there's no weight minimum. We can accommodate your largest carbide scrap recycling needs. Reach out to us directly for recycling services above 3,000 pounds.

 

For customers in Europe, there is a weight minimum of 50 kg. and we can accommodate your largest carbide scrap recycling needs. Reach out to us directly for recycling services above 500 kg.

Your tungsten carbide is recycled through Zinc Reclaim at our Huntsville, Alabama smelting facility. Once broken down, the material is processed into powder which goes on to create the high-performance, next level tools we’re known for.
